55. Furniture Fair was held

A representative business event of international reputation.

The most important events in the Southeast Europe within furniture design, production and distribution – 55th International Fair of Furniture, Equipment and Interior Decoration, beside the 55th International Fair of Woodworking Machines, Tools and Production Materials – were again the meeting point of furniture manufacturers and distributors, engineers, designers, architects and general audience. At more than 60,000 sq. m. at 10 halls, presented were more than 520 exhibitors from more than 45 countries. Due to the increased interest of the exhibitors and the event growth, the exhibiting space was expanded to three new halls: 7, 8 and 9. The event was visited by 58,311 visitors.

At the focus of this year’s Fair were prominent names within the furniture industry, respected designers, prestigious manufacturers and companies devoted to the furniture top design, innovations, quality and functioning. The visitors saw at one place the best and latest solutions within the furniture production.

The conceptual step forward made in all significant sections, from design quality rising, through the business orientation, up to the great change in communication, has already been a recognizable value of Belgrade Furniture Fair.

This year, the Fair strengthened its international character gathering many businessmen, buyers, architects, designers and distributors from the region and all parts of Europe. Premiere attendance of many renowned companies confirmed the Belgrade Furniture Fair reputation. Big companies featured this year for the first time, such as Swiss VITRA company, Italian Mattiazzi and laCividina, as well as French Forestier. Then there are Spanish Mobles 114, Lithuanian Emko and French Petite Friture. The exclusive premieres were joined by the companies exhibiting again – Serbian GIR, Swiss White Oak, Bosnian MS&WOOD and Croatian Prostoria, confirming the Fair is the undisputed regional center.

Many prestigious companies exhibiting this year showed Belgrade Fair was increasingly attractive and it returned to the map of significant European events.

During the Fair, like in previous years, the visitors had the opportunity to look at the Young Designer Exhibition, gathering young and perspective authors, enlightening the rising stars.

Also this year, the International Jury granted to the most successful exhibitors the Golden Key award. Belgrade Fair established a new award this year – The Fair Key, granted to the exhibitors who highlighted in a special way their product range and the Fair attendance.

Great attention of the visitors and professional publics has been attracted by the unit Design Talks, for three years, a popular section of discussions with designers and architects, since it is a unique opportunity to hear discussions on all relevant topics related to the furniture industry, design and architecture among the leading names within the furniture industry from all parts of Europe.
