Design Talks – Dan 5.

The young authors, who profiled themselves at the Furniture Fair, presented their work on the last day of Design talks. The main focus was on the working process starting from the idea, then prototype, and finally to the realized piece of work, obstacles and marketing of the product.

Ms. Maja Stefanovic and Mr. Ivan Stefanovic, the founders of ABOVUS Architects, introduced the “Val – desk organizer”. This product brought them the Golden Key for Best Young Designer at this year’s fair.

“We have dedicated the whole of last year to this project – from the idea, realization and marketing. We hope that this award will be an impetus for us to continue our work and to draw people’s attention to our desk organizer,”said Maja Stefanovic.”Believe in yourself, believe in the idea that you have.”

Another young author, Mr. Dusan Borovic, presented himself at the Fair with a small multifunctional metal table. “Works should be exhibited, presented at fairs, exhibitions, published on social networks. There should be no obstacles. Promote what you have made”.

Mr. Borovic stressed out just how important it is for industrial designers to be true masters of their work. “You have to attend workshops with the best and become familiar with the manufacturing process. You have to record the complete process, feel the manufacturing process, the material and then try to make a piece of furniture yourself. ”
